Behind the Scenes - About the Team

The project is owned and administered by Filmmakers Collaborative SF, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that produces media addressing social and environmental issues. The organization was started in 1988 by filmmakers Michal Aviad and Kevin White. Board members consist of well-respected filmmakers and educators.

Filmmakers Collaborative will provide full administration and management for How On Earth, including accounting, fiscal oversight and tracking, insurance, compliance, and reports to funders.

How On Earth is being produced by David Donnenfield, Kevin White and John Berger, all experienced media professionals with an extensive background in environmental issues. The project has a distinguished panel of advisors, including scientists, land managers, ranchers, government agency representatives and others.
